You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how different folks are running agritourism operations—what’s working, what’s tricky, and what makes it all worth it. After the tours, join us at the Yogo Inn from 5-7pm for a social evening with appetizers and our MAA annual meeting.
Farm Tour Locations
See how one Montana family has built a diversified ranch operation rooted in stewardship, hospitality, and value-added agriculture. During this tour, you'll explore the ranch, learn about their stone-milled flour operation, visit their on-site Airbnb, and hear how they've expanded beyond traditional farming to create multiple income streams while sharing the farming lifestyle with visitors. Featured on YouTube, visit the 1889 rebuilt house and learn about the weekly pioneer cooking series.
Go behind the scenes of a working honey operation and learn what it takes to produce high-quality Montana honey. You'll gain insight into beekeeping, honey production, and the important role pollinators play in agriculture while hearing how this family business has developed a successful niche in Montana's agricultural landscape.
